Education Program Guide


Ikseon Arts Center has converted some of the existing 10-week educational programs into one-day classes, providing an opportunity to participate more easily even in busy daily lives. This one-day class is a substantial program that allows you to experience artistic sensibility and demonstrate creativity in a short period of time.


Anyone from beginners to experts can participate, and learn various artistic techniques and complete their own works in one day. Under the intensive guidance of professional instructors, it provides a deep artistic experience despite the short period of time.

Ikseon Art Center’s one-day class provides a special opportunity to experience artistic growth in a short period of time. It is also the perfect choice for those who want to start art without any burden.

Making Paper Flowers with Korean Paper

Instructor: Jiwon Kim

Time: Tuesday 2-5pm

Tuition: 30,000 won

This course uses eco-friendly mulberry material to provide an opportunity to experience the subtle beauty of traditional Korean paper. You can recreate the beauty of nature through the delicate work of paper flowers and have fun creating your own unique corsage.



Making a fan with folk paintings

Instructor: Hansun Kim (Thursday), Maggie Kim (Sunday)

Time: Thursday 14:00-17:00 or Sunday 10:00-13:00

Tuition: 40,000 won

This process is easy for anyone of any age or gender to participate in, and the completed fan is a practical and beautiful piece that can be used in everyday life. It is also a great gift, allowing you to convey the beauty of Korean tradition to your loved ones. Feel the charm of Korean traditional art through making a folk painting fan, and leave behind your own special piece.




Making traditional Saekdong Daenggi

Instructor: Hanny Hong

Time: Friday 10-13

Tuition: 40,000 won (materials cost excluded)

In this class, you will learn the meaning and historical background of traditional Saekdongdaenggi, and create your own Saekdong hair band or key ring holder using harmonious combinations of the five colors. Each Saekdong is arranged in a traditional way, and a modern feel is added to complete a practical yet unique piece. The bright and vibrant colors of Saekdongdaenggi will add the beauty of Korean tradition to your daily life.
