🌸 The beauty of Jihwa that you can meet at Ikseon Art Center 🎨
The special one-day class on making paper flowers prepared by Ikseon Art Center for you offers an artistic journey of making flowers with paper. Beautiful colored paper is made through a dyeing process where the paper is soaked in water and torn from the bark of the mulberry tree and colored. Experience the 'Hanji Flower' that is completed by cutting the paper into the desired shape, attaching glue, and drying it.
This course uses eco-friendly mulberry material to provide an opportunity to experience the subtle beauty of traditional Korean paper. You can recreate the beauty of nature through the delicate work of paper flowers and have fun creating your own unique corsage.
This class is designed to help you learn the basic skills and techniques of paper flowers step by step, starting from the basics. You will be directly taught by a professional instructor, and you will be able to develop creativity and concentration while making your own beautiful flowers using various textures and colors of paper. Fall in love with the charm of paper flowers blooming at your fingertips.

Instructor Introduction
Artist Jiwon Kim is an artist who stands out in the field of paper painting. In September 2019, she completed a three-year course at the Korea Traditional Paper Painting Preservation Association and became a professional paper painting master. In May 2022, she won an award at the National Hanji Craft Competition, and in October of the same year, she participated in the Korea Traditional Paper Painting Preservation Association group exhibition and showcased her work.
In May 2023, he participated in the Yeondeunghoe Jangeomjeon as a Jihwa decoration, presenting a work that reinterpreted traditional beauty in a modern way, and in December of the same year, he successfully held his first solo exhibition at Bukchon Gallery. In February 2024, he held his second solo exhibition at the Seoul Urban Regeneration Nakwon Gallery, and in April, he won a special selection and a prize at the Hanyang Arts Festival for the Unification of South and North Korea, hosted by the Hanyang Cultural Arts Association. He is continuing his active artistic activities by holding his third solo exhibition at the Small Shelter of Everyone's Gallery in May 2024.
Kim's work interprets the delicate beauty and traditional techniques of paper flowers with a modern sensibility, clearly revealing the artist's unique artistic world.
